Tips & Tricks
The following listed below are tips and tricks for making the most of your Disney experience. Obtained either from various Disney sites or first hand experience. However, Disney is ever changing and I cannot guarantee that these will work everytime.
- If approaching an attraction with two line entrances, go to the line on the left. The left line usually goes faster than those on the right.
- If making breakfast reservations try going to the earliest time The earliest time will have less people and could leave more time with characters.
- In Magic Kingdom there is a place called Tom Sawyer Island. It is here that cast members hide as many as 5 paint brushes throughout the island. If you find one it entitles your party to fast passes to either Thunder Mountain or Splash Mountain. All that is required is that you turn the pain brush into the boat attendants.
- You can make dining reservations 180 days in advance. For character/miscellaneous experiences credit card information may be required.
- If you’re a musical fan you’ll love this next tip. In Hollywood Studios you’ll find an umbrella attached to a light post over a metal plate. By standing on the metal plate and grasping the handle to the umbrella, it will begin to rain. A scene right out of Singing In The Rain. And not to mention a great photo opportunity.
- When going to the parks it’s best to go at park opening rather than the middle of the day. During the morning hours the parks are often less crowded and not to mention less humid. Around lunchtime and early afternoon the park is usually much busy and by then the temperature is soaring. Around that time I suggest going back to the hotel for a quick nap or swim.
- When entering Hollywood Studios I suggest making Toy Story Mania your first stop. Fast passes have been known to run out at this popular attraction.
- Epcot is very large with many countries to explore. I suggest taking Epcot in 2 days to leave plenty of time to explore.
- A nice inexpensive way to keep hydrated at the park is too bring your own bottles for water. The best bottles I found to use Brit Bottle Aqua. These bottles are perfect for being on the go! With the built in filter it eliminates the bitter taste of Florida water from the fountains. And not to mention they also make bottles for toddlers. Fantastic way to save money in Disney!
